Our Work

We are proud to announce that our visibility in the community has significantly increased through our two major fundraisers: The Strands of Elegance Leadership Development and Cotillion Program, and Our Friends on the Green Golf Charity Event. The proceeds from these events enable us to support vital community initiatives and organizations. We are grateful the generous participation and contributions that make this possible. Together, we are making a difference!
At our organization, we are dedicated to fostering excellence and supporting our community through various scholarship initiatives. In addition to the scholarships awarded through our cotillion program, we proudly offer two additional scholarships and manage four more that we highlight yearly during our Heart of Giving Luncheon. Our commitment to empowering students and enriching the community remains at the forefront of our. Together, we can create impactful opportunities for leaders.
FFLF’s Signature Program is RISE:  Reaching & Impacting Scholars for Excellence. Within our signature program we have 4 modules, but the leading module is "Today I Read, Tomorrow I Lead Reading" Program. A dedicated reading program designed to inspire elementary-aged scholars to read and improve their reading competency. Scholars, in grades K-5, participating in the program receive several books each month for six months through an engaging  book club. Reading frequency and progress are tracked and exciting incentives are provided for reading. At the end of the school year, the program culminates in a Book Review. The Foundation is committed to fostering a love for reading and enhancing literacy skills of our young scholars.
In 2024, we were thrilled to announce our partnership with Phi Phi Omega as we work together on impactful community initiatives. Recently, we proudly donated $1,000 worth of new shoes for the Roswell Day of Hope, supporting the CHIPP Program, which provides essential backpacks to children at Ison Springs Elementary School, ensuring they have meals over the weekends. In celebration of Juneteenth, we also awarded $1,000 in scholarships to students at the Atlanta Drum Academy through arts program. Giving back is at the heart of our mission, and we take great in the positive difference we make in our community.
